DETROIT – Farmington Hills, Mich.-based TGIF Entertainment Group today announced details of “Alto Reed’s AllStar Thanksgiving Celebration” concert scheduled for Friday, Nov. 26, 2010 at The Fillmore Detroit (formerly the State Theatre). A portion of the proceeds from the event will support Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit programs that help unemployed Metro Detroiters earn jobs. “Events like this help Goodwill continue leading the way in the fight against Metro Detroit unemployment,” said Mark Lane, director of public relations and special events for Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit.
Goodwill Industries is the only organization in Southeast Michigan solely dedicated to helping local individuals overcome employment challenges.
TGIF Entertainment Group worked with legendary SaxMan Alto Reed, founding and current member of “Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band,” to assemble a star-studded roster of Detroit’s top talent for this celebration of the Motor City’s rich music legacy. “This concert is about gathering musicians together rooted in Detroit history to give back and address a major crisis for the region,” said Reed.
Concert line-up features Rock ‘n Roll icon Mitch Ryder, Mr. Grand Funk Mark Farner and Motown great Martha Reeves plus Very Special Guest Jeff Daniels.

Martha Reeves, a lover of live instrumentation, is delighted to participate in a live concert with live music that helps the jobless, one her biggest causes. Ryder believes the concert is a very worthy cause since jobs must to be the #1 priority. He says that Detroiters have to be the ones to raise awareness. Mark Farner immediately came on board and Jeff Daniels grabbed his guitar on got on the "Detroit Train".......

Concert goers will enjoy all the ingredients for a stellar night of Rock ‘n Soul in the “D” with Reed’s “Special Friends” including Muzik Mafia member Cowboy Troy, fresh from Nashville.
