We saw Mark's show at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina during the 60th Annual Harley Davidson Bike Rally Week
We had heard that Mark Farner was going to do a show there. We had not seen a show since going to a Grand Funk Railroad show in Raleigh, North Carolina in May of 1996. So, we jumped at the opportunity to see Mark and his band again. The venue was set up very nicely at Celebrity Square at Broadway At The Beach with the Hard Rock Cafe as the backdrop. We arrived in time to hear some of the sound check and knew right away that we were going to be in for a really great night. Mark took the stage beginning with "Are You Ready". It was clear that there wasn't anything lacking in his performance, even after all these years. His band is very energetic and enthusiastic! They rolled through song after song while everyone in the crowd sang and danced along. After the show, we waited around hoping for a chance to get an autograph. We got more than that, a chance to talk with Mark for a few minutes as well as having photos taken with him. All in all, we had a great time! It was an excellent performance by Mark and the band!
